Evil Night Together words and music by Jill Tracy i'll hold your hand while they drag the river i'll cuddle you in the underflow i'll keep my hand on your trigger finger i'll take you down where the train tracks go let's wile away the hours let's spend an evil night together we'll drink a toast in the torture chamber and you'll go down on a bed of nails we'll rendezvous in cold blood i'll tie you up to the third rail let's wile away the hours let's spend an evil night together who's gonna make you a hero who's gonna blow you away who's gonna make you a hero hold it right there it's a multiple down in solitary and you'll uncover the evidence shanghaied by a fishnet stocking i'll hold you close while they dust for prints let's wile away the hours let's spend an evil night together no need for cake or flowers lets's spend an evil night together

The Fine Art of Poisoning Words and music by Jill Tracy it's quite an elaborate scheme the fine art of poisoning the dose to comatose slyly administered not for the frail of heart the vengeful must play their part a friend to the bitter end or so they say nice and slow misfortune will flow peril in the nursery it seems a tainted pastry one bite what a dreadful fright she was such a delicate little dish a pleasant parlor gathering quicksilver concealed in a ruby ring two lumps or three I have always adored bergamot tea nice and slow misfortune will flow but who will know?
3.
Pulling Your Insides Out Words and music by Jill Tracy baby watch my blood boil to an opalescent blue better draw the curtain they're trying to catch a glimpse of you slowly watch the fruit die still clinging to the vine redemption from a bottle that stays empty all the time but my dear it's worth the pain when they're pulling your insides out baby know your nemesis he's posing as your best friend don't believe the newspapers they're telling lies again the cold hand of the healers will slice your soul in two they roll out the red carpet just to pull it out from under you but my dear it's worth the pain when they're pulling your insides out baby mind the vultures they're circling round the bone feeding from the idols they think they can draw blood from a stone the more the diamond glitters the more it can deceive the truth lay in the treasure of what we disbelieve but my dear it's worth the pain when they're pulling your insides out

Extraordinary (words and music by Jill Tracy) oh my dear, you runneth over with your cup of convoluted wares the aftermath is sinking lower the perfect pales beyond compare your garden's rushing to my head now your guise will leave no stone unturned I'm paralyzed by your concoction your sleight of hand keeps all my fingers burned I've searched the holy books and I've dog-eared every page I've stolen secrets from the sorcerer's own sage although a connoisseur of fine legerdemain I’ve just one word for you extraordinary you're open to interpretation like the trap door underneath your tousled throne and I’m engaged and I'm enraged and I’m enchanted with this little bit of magic I’ve been shown I've searched the holy books and I've dog-eared every page I've stolen secrets from the sorcerer's own sage although a connoisseur of fine legerdemain I’ve just one word for you extraordinary I've searched the holy books and I've dog-eared every page I've stolen secrets from the sorcerer's own sage I'm rendered speechless in my pretty little rage but I'll save one word for you extraordinary

The Proof 08:01
The Proof Words and music by Jill Tracy oh dear old Maddie Burton she was always so uncertain the moment that would end her life came with her husband's hunting knife the precocious Phineas Ray never felt the need to pray knelt with a bullet to his head and a note pinned to the bed (that read) I want to believe in something I'm still searching for the truth I want to believe in something I have finally found the proof agoraphobic Walter Strauss never ever left the house looking for salvation there he threw himself down the cellar stairs little Anna would not eat a skeleton from head to feet afflicted with society's ills sometimes it is only the mirror that kills (it hangs there still) I want to believe in something I'm still searching for the truth I want to believe in something I have finally found the proof they thought Reginald was fine despite the voices inside his mind he silenced them with the roar that came as he locked eyes with the northbound train far beneath the angry sea Edward sought tranquility sweetly smothered by the waves he submerged into his watery grave (where he remains) I want to believe in something I'm still searching for the truth I want to believe in something I have finally found the proof

Just the Other Side of Pain Words and music by Jill Tracy those blasted clocks have all run down or does time stand still without you around the birds don't sing their little song the prophecies have all proved wrong the persian rugs have gone threadbare the waxing moon has lost its flair the wishes drowned beneath the well the razor blades have all gone dull but this is confidential you're the one to blame and now the forecast calls perpetually for rain although its rather late I lie awake in vain cause I'm still waiting for what's wonderful just the other side of pain meticulous has run amok the rabbit's foot is outta luck the tightrope walker needs a lift the contortionists have all gone stiff but this is confidential you're the one to blame and now the forecast calls perpetually for rain although its rather late I lie awake in vain cause I'm still waiting for what's wonderful just the other side of pain quicksilver slows down into gold Count st. Germain is getting old Elysian Fields are dead and brown and your picture's hanging upside down but this is confidential you're the one to blame and now the forecast calls incessantly for rain although its rather late I lie awake in vain cause I'm still waiting for what's wonderful just the other side of pain

You Leave Me Cold Words and music by Jill Tracy I like the way you make me shiver silver smoke my lips are quivering I like the way you leave me cold I like the way you shake the shudder so pristine my teeth are chattering I like the way you leave me cold the sky's gone out there's no reason hollow dark in this mausoleum underneath I shiver like a stone I like the way you trick the tremble porcelain I'm frozen heavenly I like the way you leave me cold (and I'm petrified) I like the way you make me shiver silver smoke my lips are quivering I like the way you leave me cold I like the way you shake the shudder ticked blue my flesh turns to ice cream I like the way you leave me cold the sky's gone out there's no reason hollow dark in this mausoleum underneath you chill me to the bone I like the way you trick the tremble porcelain I'm frozen heavenly I like the way you leave me cold

Doomsday Serenade Words and music by Jill Tracy we'll meet again my dear on doomsday pigs will be flying through the sky upon the twelfth of never at a quarter past forever stricken with the rapture we will watch the world's demise we'll meet again my dear on doomsday a hint of Armageddon fills the air now that hell has frozen over and the sun is growing colder we'll be drawing closer cause there's no more time to spare we'll meet again my dear on doomsday a showerfall of frogs and toads but as bleak as it may be apocalyptic reverie hand in hand we'll tiptoe through the carcasses and bones the air's too thin to breathe on doomsday and at last we face the reckoning and blood will fill the sea cobwebs will cover you and me as flames engulf the remnants of this grand catastrophe it's doomsday

about

"Diabolical Streak" is Jill Tracy's first studio album featuring her fearsome backing ensemble The Malcontent Orchestra.

With nothing but a sultry whisper campaign since its 1999 release, "Diabolical Streak" has become a cult smash being featured on CBS, NBC, PBS, and numerous independent and feature films, and earning the SIBL international grand prize for songwriting.
Canada's Shift Magazine hailed "Diabolical Streak" one of the Top 10 neo-cabaret albums of all time."

The song "Evil Night Together" has become an underground anthem for neo-burlesque, dark cabaret, gothic and modern bellydancers all over the globe. The song was featured prominently on CBS-TV's Navy NCIS, and the movie remake of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde."

Showtime Networks chose "Evil Night Together" as DEXTER'S "Final Symphony," a requiem song to promote the series' wildly anticipated last season.

Jill Tracy's acclaimed music video "The Fine Art of Poisoning" (a collaboration with animator Bill Domonkos) has won over 30 film festival awards internationally.

"Like a film noir femme fatale, Jill Tracy is gorgeous; ballerina thin and Victorian porcelain pale.....a stunningly hypnotic performer."
SF BAY GUARDIAN

"One must be careful of Jill Tracy. The pale and shadowy chanteuse quickly draws you in with her noirish compositions; her songs are eerie and enticing, clever and clawing, and replete with gothic glamour. The San Francisco-based New York émigré' likes her fare dark and bloody, sprinkled with cabaret charm, old-time chamber ragtime chops and an almost overpowering sense of seductive gloom."
PACIFIC SUN

"very distinctive and exciting...Jill Tracy sings with the kind of breathy intimacy that will fulfill your dreams of being tortured by beautiful women."
LA WEEKLY

"an elegant and mysterious siren"
VILLAGE VOICE

"...positively poetic...Jill Tracy has made an exquisite, even luscious record with 'Diabolical Streak'...she wraps you with a smoky coo and as you soften under that sophisticated smirk you realize too late she's tied you to the third rail while the cobwebs descend and the seas fill with blood."
SF WEEKLY

"When you hear Jill Tracy's lush, sultry voice and experience the spooky melancholy of her lyrics, you're hooked...you can't escape the haunting and seductive powers of her macabre torch songs. As you listen, your will is no longer your own."
